Southern Farmers Market Cookbook

Soon to be published this book  talks about fresh foods and fresh cooking. This seems to be something that we miss along the way, going to the farmers market, picking up fresh foods and cooking them at home. Seasonal veggies play such an important role. Another aspect that this book touches on is supporting the local growers. Many of these local growers are organic in nature not using pesticides to maintain vegetable or fruit integrity.

What many may not know is that these foods that are not sold usually go to waste. Not because the grower does not offer those that are left to local organizations to feed the homeless, but because such organizations lack the resources to pick them from the grower. 

The photography in this book is minimalistic in nature. My goal was to embrace the simplicity of natures act and beauty morning light on dew glistened fruits. I felt that this was the most impressive way of conveying these images and the recipes in the book. They are not meant to be complicated or confusing just simple and easy to do in your own home.
